Meet the breeder

I'm Brian P., the breeder behind Natural Born Guardians located in Palestine, TX. Turkish Boz Shepherd’s 34-40” and 180-280 pounds of athletic guardians with an intelligent balanced temperament. Best used as a livestock guardian but can also function in some rural home environments. Truly stunning dogs.

Q. & A. with Brian

  • Why did you start breeding?

Started utilizing Kangals for LGD’s and had to produce puppies for replacements. Imported the larger Turkish Dogs called Turkish Boz and soon gave up the Kangals for the easier to manage Boz. Demand for the dogs started us on the path to import and breed them.
  • What makes your program special?

We are entering into a novel program designed by me to retain breeding decisions of all progeny in a Co-op that will employ radiological and genetic testing to help augment real impartial evaluation and decision of wether to breed and to who. A team of cynologist and scientists will be utilized when needed as well as tracking all traits to allow for better decisions.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
