Meet the breeder

I'm Catherine V., the breeder behind New Horizonz Dalmatians located in Wilson, NC. We raise health-tested and temperamentally sound AKC Dalmatians with excellence and care! We raise and compete in a number of events with our dogs. While we enjoy events, they are our beloved companions first, and we want them to live happy and full lives. We make sure we health test by the recommended standards of the breed club, and that our dogs are the ideal examples of their breed.

Q. & A. with Catherine

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding because I want to see better health for the breed that I adore. I see far too many not caring and destroying our breed by making poor breeding choices that cause more health issues. My goal is to breed healthier dogs, so that they may live long happy lives with their human companions. I have had and continue to have multiple lovely mentors along my journey to improve.
  • What makes your program special?

I care a great deal about our and making sure they are right to breed. We take the time to title our dogs in multiple things to prove their worth and heath test to make sure we are only using the best examples of our breed to contribute to our breeding program. We have a return contract in place for all of our pups so that if ever they need to come back, they can at any point in their life.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are white and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
