I'm Shannon D., the breeder behind Northern Bluegrass Weimaraners located in Blanchardville, WI. We breed happy, healthy, high-quality puppies. Our goals are to produce puppies who can not only perform, but make great pets as well. We fell in love with the breed because of their intelligence, funny nature, drive to work, and their love for their family. You won’t find a better work partner or couch cuddler, than a Longhaired Weimaraner.
Q. & A. with Shannon
Why did you start breeding?
Thanks to our wonderful breeder, I was entrusted in raising a female, to hopefully breed when she was older. After years of work, training, competing, and health testing, she is ready to help build the foundation of our program.
What makes your program special?
We breed for versatile, well rounded dogs. Our goals are to produce puppies who are happy and willing to work, but also content to just spend time with their families at home. Puppies will be well exposed and started on training, before going home, so new owners will receive the most well rounded puppy possible.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Isabel
Isabel is one of the smartest dogs I've ever owned. She picks new things up extremely fast and doesn't forget. She loves to be out on adventures, but her favorite thing to do is work. She loves everything from agility and parkour, to tricks, obedience, and scent work. During the summer, we travel around, going to lure coursing events. Her favorite thing to do is get that "bunny." As much as she loves to work, she also loves to just relax at home. Her favorite spot is on the couch, in our laps. She's always up for an adventure, but is also more than happy to stay home and hang out on the couch.
