I'm Laurie C., the breeder behind Oquassa Český Fousek located in Maine. If you are looking for a dog that can be both your home companion and excellent hunting dog this might be the breed for you. All puppies go to hunting homes and breedings are selected by the national club, Český Fousek North America to maintain high genetic diversity to produce healthy dogs.

Q. & A. with Laurie

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our dogs are bred with National club supervision. I am interested in helping maintain this rare European hunting breed.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs must pass performance hunt tests, are assessed for good conformation and temperament, as well as health and genetic profiles before they are approved from breeding.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
