I'm SARA, the breeder behind Paw Prints located in Richmond, VA. Our puppies are family to us. Their well-being is most important, while they live with us and after going to their new families. Our puppies are typically ready for their new families by 8 weeks of age, however, should we feel they would benefit from a little more time with mom we will keep them until we decide it's safe for them to transition into a new home. All puppies are on a regular deworming schedule starting at two weeks of age, receive age appropriate vaccines and are vet checked before leaving us. If, for any reason, a puppy needs to be rehomed after going to their new home, we ask that the puppy be returned to us.

Our Pomeranian puppies include orange, cream, black, chocolate sable, black and tan, blue merle, and beaver sable. Dachshund puppies include red, brindle, fawn (isabella) and tan, chocolate and tan, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Litter update on 13 July 2025 •…Sage is due around July 15, 2025. Something I love to do is listen to those tiny heartbeats! I’ve been listening to them for the past few weeks. It “sounds” like she’ll be having 3. Soon we’ll know for sure! 🥰 (If you watch closely at the end once I take the Doppler away, you’ll see the puppies moving.)

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

+4Our pups are 6 months old now, and I can’t say enough good things about Sara and Paw Prints. She was always available to answer questions, and sent us pictures before we picked up Seamus and Maddie. After we got them, she stayed in touch and continued to support us during those first few months. They even had “sleep away camp” with her while we went on vacation. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a mini doxie! Thanks Sara!
