I'm Julie H., the breeder behind Pinecrest German Shorthair Pointers located in Kearney, MO. We breed quality, versatile German Shorthaired Pointers. They have been matched to ensure structure, temperament, and hunting ability. We have done our due diligence to find the best breeding match to ensure great litters. We love our dogs greatly and know you will too.
Q. & A. with Julie
Why did you start breeding?
We started with a pet Yorkie who could have been shown. She was bred to a champion and my husband started showing several of the puppies. After several years and lots of grooming, my husband decided a breed change was in order and we adopted a show GSP puppy, who finished as a Champion and Grand Champion.
What makes your program special?
We do what we need to do to make sure our females are bred to the male which compliments her. We also breed for a good temperament. Our puppies are raised in the house the first 4 weeks and then graduate to the kitchen of our Doghouse-a 1600 ft climate-controlled house for the dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
