I'm Patricia S., the breeder behind Polar Light Great Pyrenees located in Milton Freewater, OR. We do health testing beyond what is required by Great Pyrenees Club Of America. I have been blessed to have shared my life with Pyrs for over 50 years and offer a lifetime of support to families with our pups. Our dogs are not only show dogs, but working dogs on our farm and LOVED family members.
Q. & A. with Patricia
Why did you start breeding?
My heart is dedicated to preserving quality within breed so future generations have the benefit of sharing their lives with Pyrs that mirror the AKC Breed Standard. Our Pyrs are beautiful, healthy, intelligent, conformationally correct dogs with excellent temperaments. They excel in function as top quality show dogs, beloved family members, and happy, well cared for therapy and working dogs.
What makes your program special?
Our Pyrs have EXCEPTIONAL bloodlines originating from HIGHLY respected show kennels in the USA and abroad. They are an excellent representation of the breed standard and excel as Top Winning show dogs, Champion producers, working, therapy, and family members. Each breeding is meticulously planned with no common line breeding closer than the 4th generation as health and longevity are a priority.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are white and badger. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
