Q. & A. with Susan
Why did you start breeding?
Chihuahuas, pound for pound, are one of the most courageous, intelligent, loyal and fun breeds that you can be fortunate enough to have as a part of your family.
Precious Paws of Florida was created not only from a love of the breed, but also to share our love of this breed with other people; to help families find a quality, loving pet that they can cherish.
What makes your program special?
Our puppies are handled by the breeders daily and socialized with their littermates as well as the other dogs in our home. We practice "free-feeding" and "box" training/paper training to begin housebreaking. We provide ENS/ESI beginning days after birth, exposing puppies to new smells, sensations and sounds typical of a household to alleviate generalized anxieties.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, fawn, red, cream and white, and fawn and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

I stumbled upon Good Dog and Precious Paws one evening after deciding that I was ready for a puppy. Browsing the app was effortless and to my surprise, I found Precious Paws fairly quickly. I reached out immediately and was warmly received by Susan. The details of exploring puppies to placing a final payment…all the details were seamless. Susan & Rich communicated effectively, answered all of my questions, provided great updates, and most importantly has the utmost care and love for their fur babies.
I loved that I could watch them via YouTube and chat quickly on this app. Without question, I would be a repeat customer. I recommend this breeder to friends, family and Chi lovers alike. I am forever grateful to have found Precious Paws and mostly importantly my new love, Cannoli!
