Meet the breeder

I'm Carrie H., the breeder behind Premier Truffles located in Westlake, OR. I am a truffle dog trainer & hunter. I got into breeding truffle dogs because I have the time & passion to dedicate to these awesome working dogs. We are raising puppies with Puppy Culture program and a combination of other dog training programs. The dogs will also be started with some truffle work.

Q. & A. with Carrie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding so that I could raise successful and sound Lagotto Romagnolo for truffle hunting. I’ve worked with several breeders of the Lagotto that have been mentoring me along the way. I work with truffle hunters, breeders, and Puppy Culture people. I was only going to do breeding if my dog test results were excellent. I was able to pair my Master Truffle Dog with an Italian Champion.
  • What makes your program special?

My breeding program is special because of the extras that I am doing with my puppies. My puppies are raised with the Puppy Culture program. I will also be doing scent and truffle training with my puppies. Puppies will have a start in potty training and basic obedience training. I am following my puppies for their life, 14+ year commitment from me.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include white and brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
