I'm Lynne P., the breeder behind Proud Pine Farm located in Wright, MN. We participated in conformation, field and bred an occasional litter. Our main focus has always been wild bird hunting. Over 10 years ago, we merged our bloodlines and did our first co-breeding. We strive to produce excellent temperaments with correct conformation and natural hunting abilities.
Q. & A. with Lynne
Why did you start breeding?
After hunting wild birds together for several years with our champion/master hunter titled dogs we realized that they complimented each other conformationally as well as in their abilities. That breeding was the foundation for our breeding program. The litter was everything we hoped for in talent and structure.
What makes your program special?
Each litter is carefully planned for years prior to taking place. We don't do a breeding until one of us is looking to add a new puppy to our home. Each of us only has a few dogs, with only 1 from each generation, therefore it is very important to us that She/he be able to excel at whatever task we ask of her/him. We breed for a willing temperament and natural ability that even a novice can train.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
