Meet the breeder

I'm Dannie R., the breeder behind Riot River Mastiffs located in Riddle, OR. This program is focused on longevity and workability in the modern Mastiff. I currently have a few crossbreeds, as it is still early in the program. I have so far produced stable and confident, relatively versatile dogs. Mainly hard hitting workers, a few therapy dogs and SDs as well. Q&A is welcome.

Q. & A. with Dannie

  • Why did you start breeding?

My mom. My family has always been involved with animals and breeding. It wasn't until I was older did I find that I was really interested in just learning about the world and genetics. My first litter as a young child, when I was hooked. And I was good at it. My mother was my mentor. She chose the matriarch for this program. Madelyne. And I owe that dog so many more of my lives.
  • What makes your program special?

I am not sure if we're special, I just care deeply about how long such tremendous creatures get to be around. And the quality of the life they live, as well as the quality of their golden years. It gets disheartening sometimes. Breeding is hard work. If I can make a small change and bring hope to others, while also keeping these guys healthy, then I have some my part and then some.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

“I understand that this is a broad range. I simply; and unfortunately, have to flow with the market. This is also based on overall cost at the time of raising said litter. I'm easy to work with! Deposit and price does not change depending on color, sex, or size. Deposit is added on to full price of pup. A deposit is simply required to weed out those who are not serious.”

Contract & health guarantee

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
