I'm Marty & Tatiana G., the breeder behind River's Bend Walnut Orchard located in Red Bluff, CA. The Great Pyrenees are the best friends of kids and an ideal patrol for the garden and yard. Q. & A. with Marty & Tatiana

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our acquaintance with this amazing dog breed happened in 2017. At that time, we lived in Iowa and had a livestock farm, Wagyu cattle, sheep, goats, pigs. For the protection of animals, we needed good guard dogs, but it was also important for us that the dogs did not have aggression towards other members of our family. Our hearts are FOREVER given to this beautiful breed of dogs GREAT PYRENEES.
  • What makes your program special?

In our opinion, LOVE and CARE for your dogs is the main thing in the life of a breeder. Regular veterinary examinations and laboratory tests, vaccinations, premium quality food, natural products, a large fenced-in private area for walking and exercise, all this makes our dogs’ lives healthy and happy. The ocean of love, devotion and positive is what our dogs give us every day.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include white and badger and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Marty & Tatiana

Marty & Tatiana has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Marty & Tatiana partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We are with our puppies 24 hours a day from the very beginning — they are born into our hands and raised in our home with constant care and attention. From the first days, we closely monitor their development, including daily weight checks, overall health, and growth. Most importantly, we spend a lot of time simply observing them — watching how each puppy develops, their temperament, energy level, and personality. Because of this, we get to know each puppy very well. We begin helping families choose their puppy around 4 weeks of age, when the puppies start to open their eyes and their individual personalities begin to show. At that time, we work closely with each family to understand their lifestyle, expectations, and preferences, and we carefully guide them in selecting the puppy that will be the best match for their home. Our goal is to create the perfect match — for both the puppy and the family 💛”

We're beyond grateful to have found Marty and Tatiana. From the very first interaction, it was clear that we couldn’t have asked for more caring, dedicated, or knowledgeable breeders. It's so evident how deeply they love their dogs and puppies, and it gave us such peace of mind knowing how well-loved and nurtured our sweet boy was before he even came home to us. The quality of care they provide is truly top-tier. At our very first vet visit, our veterinarian asked what we were feeding our puppy. When we told her the specific diet Marty and Tatiana had him on, her immediate response was, "Wow, I love your breeder already!" That interaction spoke volumes to us. It's clear that these puppies are given the absolute best start in life, from their high-quality nutrition to being perfectly groomed and showered with affection from day one. Beyond their expertise, Tatiana is an absolute pleasure to work with. Getting to know her has been such a positive addition to our entire puppy experience. She has a huge heart and is a tireless, incredible advocate for her pups, long after they have gone to their forever homes. She's always there to offer support, answer questions, and celebrate every milestone. If you are looking for a breeder who treats their dogs like family and their puppy owners like friends, look no further. We feel so lucky to be part of the family, and we couldn't be happier with our beautiful, healthy, and happy boy!

We had a wonderful experience getting our puppy from Marty and Tatiana. :) From the very beginning, they were caring, responsible, and truly invested in making sure their puppies went to good homes. They were always available to answer questions, provided helpful information, and made the entire process easy and stress-free. What really stood out was how accommodating they were on delivery day. They were willing to drive and meet us halfway, which made the pickup much more convenient for us. Their communication was excellent throughout, and it was clear how much they care about both their dogs and the families adopting them. Our beautiful puppy arrived healthy, happy, and well-socialized 😊 We couldn’t be happier with the experience and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a quality breeder. They made the whole process smooth, enjoyable, and worry-free.

The breeders were very nice and very helpful we had to put our 7 year old deaf Australian Shepherd dog down in February he had a lot of hip pain and back ankle problems and hip, dad thought he had some Great Pyrenees in him but we never did a test. Ever since then we’ve been looking for a Great Pyrenees dog we have 2 other dogs that are Australian Shepherds , they were really depressed without their brother and our youngest Aussie needed a play mate. So we found the dog I contacted Tatiana through the app and their he was our best boy ever we don’t have a name for him right now we’re just calling him Blue until we think of the perfect name for him but a huge shout out to Tatiana and Marty! Thank you so much, we really appreciate you guys taking the opportunity with us . He’s the sweetest boy ever!

They stayed in contact and kept me updated every step of the way. They offered knowledge of the breed and tips and advice. I’m so happy we found each other.

We've had a wonderful and excellent experience working with Marty and Tatiana. I had specifically sought out an AKC Breeder of Merit, and a breeder who was breeding dogs that have a European lineage, and Marty and Tatiana not only met those requirements, but their love and care for Great Pyrs was immediately evident. We were looking for a puppy who was being raised in a home, not in a commercial breeding program. I knew from my first contact with Tatiana that we shared the same philosophy about these precious dogs. We highly recommend River Bend Walnut Orchard and Marty and Tatiana if you are interested in the best Great Pyr puppies for your family. We are absolutely in love with our little Winnie, aka, Orange Girl. 🥰

We had a fantastic experience with Marty & Tatiana from River's Bend Walnut Orchard. We picked up 2 beautiful female Great Pyrenees pups last week and brought them home to be working dogs on our ranch in the mountains of SE Arizona. The pups were in a very clean and well thought out situation at Marty & Tatiana's house and they were well-socialized and clean. The girls are sweet and gentle, and already getting along famously with our other animals. Marty & Tatiana helped facilitate a smooth transaction and were knowledgeable and helpful in helping us choose our pups as well as helpful in teaching us about breeding and structuring our future breeding program. We hope to become reputable breeders of quality Great Pyrenees in the future and we know that we can reach out to Marty & Tatiana if we have questions or need advice along the way. Thank you again for a great experience!
