I'm Erin W., the breeder behind Roan Point Kennel located in Payneville, KY. Our dogs have excellent temperaments & strong field performance. On our 30-acre property, they enjoy daily exercise, training & bird work. We focus on early socialization and a nurturing environment to ensure your puppy is confident and adaptable.

    We have bred and raised German Shorthaired Pointers for over 5 years on our farm in Kentucky.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are liver roan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Erin

Erin has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $950 - $1,450 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Puppies are sent home with AKC registration paperwork ($1,250 for limited registration or $1,750 for full registration), health certificate of vaccinations, deworming, litter pedigree, and sample of dog food. All puppies require a $300 non-refundable deposit.”

Erin may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiomyopathy and Juvenile Mortality (YARS2), Canine Scott Syndrome (CSS), Adult Paroxysmal Dyskinesia, von Willebrand Disease II (vWD II), Hyperuricosuria (HUU), Cone Degeneration, German Shorthaired Pointer Type, Acral Mutilation Syndrome (AMS)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
