I'm ROBIN B., the breeder behind Robin Burmeister located in Oh Galloway, OH. Windward Portuguese Water Dogs was established in the late 1980s and has been home to multiple Best in Show, High in Trial, and multi-titled dogs for over 30 years. Originally based in Petoskey, Michigan, we now reside in on the SW side of Columbus, Ohio.

Why did you start breeding?
PWDs were rare. If a dog passed all its health tests, we breed one here and there.What makes your program special?
We only breed fully health tested, of age dogs. We want to breed healthy and happy dogs!Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

“Health guarantee, AKC limited registration, lifetime breeder support. We take deposits after pregnancy is confirmed. Deposits are refunded if we do not have a puppy for you. If you change your mind, then the deposit is non-refundable. If we decide one of our puppies is not for you, we will refund the deposit.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
