Meet the breeder

I'm Kim L., the breeder behind Rockhills Silken windhounds located in Lubbock, TX. Our puppies are bred to be easy to live with family dogs who are good examples of the breed both in the show ring and on the field. We aim to produce dogs who are stable, healthy, and a joy to be around.

Q. & A. with Kim

  • Why did you start breeding?

My grandmother showed and did field trials with her golden retrievers in the 80’s and 90’s. Her program in goldens inspired me to carry that legacy under her same kennel name. After getting my first silken I knew I wanted to help preserve the breed and produce more well rounded dogs who would be happy to do it all with their families.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
