I'm Jana E., the breeder behind Rockin EZ Rat Terriers located in Savoy, TX. We focus on intentional breeding so that we can produce quality puppies that are excellent representations of the standard. We are responsible breeders who are passionate about our dogs! They’re central to our lives, and we are proud of their accomplishments. We enjoy participating in conformation events and staying involved in the breed.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I love dogs and I love to make people happy by breeding a well rounded puppy. A puppy that can hunt, be a watch dog and a family companion. My puppies are suitable to be trained as diabetic therapy dog's or squirrel hunting dogs or blood deer tracking. They also make great ptsd dogs.

  • What makes your program special?

    My breeding program is special because I spend all of my time with my puppies, they are leading on a leash, desensitized to all sounds. They are confident puppies when they leave my home. Health tests are run on the parents of my litters. We usually only have one or two litters a year. We also deworm and vaccinate and keep puppies up to date on everything.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include blue white and tan, red white and sable, and black tan and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Jana

Jana has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jana partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $900 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes vaccinations, deworming, and socialization. We start them traveling in a car young and then we also start training them to a litter box. We do a modified puppy culture program. I have nothing else to do but spend time with my puppies. They will be started on a collar and leash, and crate training. Deposits are non refundable unless I can not send you a healthy puppy at pick up time.”

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Legg-Calve-Perthes (OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Chondrodystrophy and IVDD Risk (CDDY-IVDD), Primary Lens Luxation (PLL)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Jana is an excellent communicator and let me know everything I needed to know about my puppy and the breed. At pickup I was presented with the healthiest, confident happy pup! He handled the airport and transport perfectly. He mastered potty training in a few weeks, even with MN winter! At 3 months he had all the commands, and at 6 months knows the names of all his toys and can learn anything. Smart, funny, rambunctious and just great companion.

    We picked up our little girl, Gabbi, at an arranged time and place we both agreed to. Jana was so easy to work with. We excitedly picked up Gabbi and when we got home we took her out to go potty and she went right away. I can’t believe she was pretty much potty trained when we picked her up. She also had all her shots and was microchipped. Jana kept us up to date weekly with photos, which was appreciated very much! It was like looking forward to a baby we were picking up soon. I can’t say enough about how Rockin EZ Terriers kept us informed with everything that was happening with Gabbi and her litter mates.     We had a wonderful experience with Jana! Communication was always prompt and friendly, and she kept me updated with pictures, videos, and detailed notes from birth until pickup. The puppies were clearly raised with great care—very well socialized and confident, and early experience with create made our life much easier than it could be! Chevy (now renamed Sugar ) came home healthy and happy, adjusted well and fast. I really appreciate the breeder’s transparency, knowledge, and dedication to matching the right puppy for me as well, and her husband traveled all the way to Iowa to deliver the little puppy. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a healthy, well-adjusted companion!

    Jana is Great!!!! started communicating by emails, a phone call and text messages from the beginning to the delivery. All went smooth all went great! Jana sent me pictures of my puppy "Rum" now "Bailey" Her delivery to me at the airport went so smooth, her Husband escorted my puppy "Bailey" Phil was such a nice Man couldn't of had a better person delivering her.
