I'm Nikki S., the breeder behind Rocking S Griffons located in California. Our goal is to expand current American genetics to get more diversity in the breed. We imported Mitch and Umi from the Netherlands. Our dogs have strong natural hunt drives and unbeatable sweet personalities that make for perfect loving family dogs. They are raised with our kids from birth.

Why did you start breeding?
We discovered Griffons over 20 years ago and got our very first girl a few years after that. She was our best hunting, camping and all around family dog for many years. As she grew older, we realized we needed another and discovered the limited availability of the breed in the States. After lots of research we were able to connect with a breeder in Europe and start a program here.What makes your program special?
We import our bloodlines from Europe and work to improve the genetic diversity of the breed here in the states. European lines of Griffons don't have some of the genetic issues that are in the US. Mitch, our stud, received Best of Breed at the Paris Dog Show, 1st place in Working Class at the Belgian Club Nationals and Excellent in Open Class and Best Eyes at the French Nationals. He is CHIC cert.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Nikki has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price
"The price includes prepaid AKC registration, vaccinations, deworming, dewclaws removed and docked tails. Puppies are socialized daily with our kids and other ranch animals. All of our puppies are the same price regardless of sex or color. Puppies come with limited registration but full registration may be given. Your first payment gives you ownership of your pup."

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
