Meet the breeder
I'm Shannon O., the breeder behind Rosais Acres LLC located in Eldora, IA. Welcome! I am located in North Central Iowa and breed AKC LUA and HUA Dalmatians. I discovered the love of breeding dogs while pursuing my degree in Animal Science with a focus on genetics and reproduction at Iowa State University (ISU).

Why did you start breeding?
While pursuing my degree I found that my favorite courses were consistently the genetics and reproduction courses offered. When the university had openings for hands-on breeding experiences I jumped at the opportunity and found that this was what made me truly happy.What makes your program special?
I strive to produce only happy and healthy puppies. All dogs are carefully selected based on temperament, conformation, and genetics to try to obtain this goal. All puppies I produce are exposed to a wide variety of stimuli and situations to try to set them up to succeed in life, no matter what type of home they may go to.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and liver brown and white and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Shannon
Shannon has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include between $1,900 - $2,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“All puppies are sold on a Spay/Neuter Contract unless otherwise agreed upon. Full registration available for an additional fee. For a complete pricing breakdown please view my website. Contract receipt determines puppy pick order and is accepted only from people whom have passed the application process once puppies are born.”

About Ries
Ries is my first Heterozygous LUA lady. Ries’ favorite things to do is snuggle mom and beat up her brother, Stoli. She thinks he is the best thing ever since sliced cheese and that it great fun to run, chase, and chew on him. Ries is full of sass and is very vocal, making her thoughts on most everything very clear. When she’s not playing with Stoli or snuggling mom Ries can typically be found at the food bowl, waiting for dinner as she’s a chunk and loves all things food. Due to her age, Ries is still learning her manners but so far loves the horses, cats, other dogs, and people of any size or age.

About Stoli
Stoli is my young HUA stud prospect. Stoli loves playing in mud and chewing on all things sticks. He gets along with all dogs, big and small. Typical Dalmatian, he likes to chase the horses and barn cats 'cause he's a ball of energy and running is fun. Stoli is an absolute sweetheart and is a huge cuddle bug. Stoli also loves to give hugs and he therefore insists that he must climb anyone that gives him any sort of affection like a tree to do so. There has yet to be a person, small or large, young or old, that Stoli does not like and insists needs his love.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Hyperuricosuria (HUU), Full Embark Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
