I'm Mary Jo P., the breeder behind Rusty Horse Ranch Great Pyrenees located in Yucaipa, CA. We are proud to offer our beautiful Great Pyrenees puppies to loving homes! Our dogs are healthy and have great temperaments. Our dogs stole our hearts right from the start and we found ourselves wanting to get more involved. Our pups are reserved by First Deposit First Pick Make or Female.

Getting a puppy from Mary Jo

Mary Jo has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Mary Jo partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Glanzmann's Thrombasthenia, Great Pyrenees Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Canine Multifocal Retinopathy (cmr3; BEST1 Exon 10 SNP)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    We had a wonderful and memorable experience with Mary Jo. When we first reached out on Good Dog, within one hour she gave us a call, which was a lovely surprise, after many other breeders we reached out to weeks prior never got back to us. The whole process of getting a puppy from Mary Jo was easy and enjoyable! She granted us an access to a camera she kept which showed a daily live video of the puppies in her puppy room, allowing us to watch the little guys as we waited for them to reach the adoption age! We drove down to take our pick of the litter, and it was a very pleasant experience, as she is a very kind hearted lady, who truly loves and cares for her dogs! It was a difficult choice to make, as every puppy from the litter was very healthy, lively and beautiful! We came home with Marco, and he is our sweet angel, who immediately made good friends with our older dog, our cats, and chickens! Marco is very intelligent, is a fast learner, and he is surprisingly calm for a young puppy! We couldn’t be happier with our experience, and highly recommend Mary Jo and her puppies!
