I'm Tracy R., the breeder behind Sakari Kennels located in Franktown, CO. We offer high-quality puppies. Our dogs are excellent representations of the breed, and we are proud to continue their line. As breeders, we are stewards of the future of the Norwegian Lundehund, so we are careful to always maintain ethical breeding practices. This includes proper health testing, intentional breeding for specific traits, and raising our puppies with proper socialization.

What makes your program special?
We are 1 of only 3 current breeders of the Lundehund here in the US. The NLK (the parent club in Norway) has called us the #1 breeder in the US, as we've imported 9 Lundies from various European countries from differing bloodlines.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are reddish brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Tracy

"$1,800 is the US equivalent price to that of the Norwegian parent club. $1,200 is what we ask for non-show quality pups."

Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Disease Panel, DNA Repository
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
