Q. & A. with Amber
Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding once I finally got my vet tech license. I wanted to be a responsible knowledgeable breeder.
What makes your program special?
My breeding program is special because all my puppies are brought up in a family environment. They get regular vet checks and my female is health tested.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue, fawn sable, fawn, blue fawn, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Lizzo
Lizzo is such a sweet girl. Loves to cuddle, play with her siblings and is such a great mom! She has her first litter in the ground right now! Her favorite things are wearing her Jammie’s, playing outside, and eating. She’s health tested and in great condition. She’s got a fire pedigree as well. Nothing but the best for this girl!

Breeder-Reported Testing
Great level
S.A.S. Buckeye Bullies reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for American Bullies.
Hip Dysplasia , Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
