I'm Natalee L., the breeder behind Light's Family Farm & Schipperke Ranch located in Randsburg, CA. Our dogs are bred to thrive as family companions, service dogs, herding dogs, ratters and show dogs. We take immense pride in raising the highest quality pups, ensuring they are well loved and prepared for their homes. Our commitment extends beyond our dogs; as we also rescue Schipperkes in need.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    When I met my first schipperke i quickly fell in love with their playful and loyal personality, leading me to look for a companion. As i struggled to find an ethical and responsible program i decided to start my own where i would be dedicated to producing healthy, well-socialized Schipperkes. We focus on responsible breeding practices to ensure that each puppy embodies the breed's spirited nature.

  • What makes your program special?

    our commitment to creating family pets and working dogs such as service dogs, herding dogs, companions, and ratters. We take great pride in our puppies ensuring they possess the temperament that defines the breed. Our program is enhanced by partnerships with small business dog gear makers, as well as working with veterinarians, NuVet a health suppliment program and dog training programs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black and tan, fawn, white, cream, chocolate, gray, red, black, and apricot. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Natalee

Natalee has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $300 deposit and between $700 - $1,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes the puppy cost, all age-appropriate vaccinations and wormers, a puppy starter pack, and health checks. All deposits are non-refundable but can be applied toward another puppy from a different or future litter. In certain cases, a refund may be issued.”

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Agouti DNA Test, Mucopolysaccharidosis Type IIIB (MPS IIIB)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    This was our first time purchasing a puppy from Natalee and it has been a wonderful experience. We wanted our old man Kenji (8 yr old schip) to have a companion.     The whole experience was great, from start to finish. They were very responsive and answered all of our questions (though they provided a ton of information up front, so we had very few!). Excellent communication and transparency. Winter's Morning/Miso is a great pup! They did a fantastic job raising him: he's healthy, excellent build, very well rounded personality, confident, and socialized. He has been a real joy to have in our household, getting along great with our elderly dog, our other large pup, cats, and chickens! He's very curious and intelligent; he knows sit and down already and we're working on stay. Every day he comes "online" just a bit more and we're so happy to watch this little guy grow up with us!     We had a great experience with Natalee. We were looking for a dog to become a future service dog. She kept her eyes out on the ones that were in contention. We went with a little blond schipperke. She has a tan area around her face so we are calling her Zora from zoro. Natalie met my wife at the airport to pick up zora and the exchange went great. My wife even was able to get an earler flight back. We took zora to meet our vet and had a small issue with shot records(our vet not natalie) but a text to Natalie and she got it all taken care of. We are very satisfied with everything and would recomend Natalie for your schipperke pup needs.
