I'm Marie S., the breeder behind Shepherd Family Vizslas located in Valparaiso, IN. Our dog is breed with the overall health of the her and puppies in mind. We picked our sire based upon him being in a family environment, similar to our girl. Also, both mom and dad are highly social with other dogs and people.
Q. & A. with Marie
Why did you start breeding?
My love of our Vizsla and the breed in general is why I chose to breed her.
What makes your program special?
I think just the connnection to family. Our dogs have the health, bloodline, etc to do what you would like with them. Ex. Hunt, show...whatever you'd like. However, our goal first and foremost is the family and a family dog. I think even when you participate in the above mentioned activities ....they are family first.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are golden rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Lily
Lily is a sweet , fun loving family dog. We have had her for five years. This is her first liter and she has been an amazing mom. She gets along well with everyone. She has never met another dog she doesn't get along with. She meets all standard requirements for her breed. She has the run of three acres and a pond at home. She enjoys exploring and seeing all the wildlife that comes into the property. We added to our pack and she has a 15 week old young Vizlsa pup running around with her liter. She has done fantastic with this addition and has been very patient with him as he comes into the family.

Marie was wonderful to connect with. I reached out to her and she promptly answered all of my questions. She was knowledgeable, patient and willing to meet me halfway to pick up my puppy, Django. Marie ensured her puppies came from good parents that were health tested and from a stud that complimented her female dog to produce family type Vizslas. Our puppy is affectionate, playful and smart. I highly recommend Marie as a reputable breeder.
