I'm Kara P., the breeder behind Small and Mighty Chihuahuas located in Weatherford, TX. Our Chihuahua puppies, and their Moms and Dads are raised in our home and are loved as family. We spend countless hours with each of our litters, socializing and caring for our puppies to prepare them for their forever homes. We truly love our puppies and know you will too! We are small home breeder, and offer only a limited number of puppies a year...

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I am a retired Veterinarian Technician, and Dog Spa owner...I also bred horses for years, thus my training and college studies brought me naturally to breeding healthy and loving Chihuahuas for everyone to love.

  • What makes your program special?

    First, I adore my dogs. They are all precious, little ones. I am attentive to my dogs care, diet, and everything each one needs and deserves.... I try my best to always be available to my Puppy's new parents when they need me, and also for the rest of our Small and Mighty bred puppies lives. I continue educating myself so I can learn new things about my Chihuahuas...

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our Chihuahua puppies include smooth and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Chihuahua puppies include cream, black sabled fawn, blue fawn, gold and white, cream and white, chocolate and tan, blue and tan, black and white, red and white, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Kara

Kara has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“2800-3500 AKC Limited Pet or APRI, no breeding Rights We can discuss AKC or APRI, one or both if you choose. We can only sell our Chihuahuas as companions. We do have a Spay/Neuter contract. $500 non refundable.”

    Kara was amazing to work with. She genuinely cares about her chihuahuas and goes above and beyond to ensure you get a healthy loving chi 🥹. She always answered my laundry list of questions in a timely manner and was very compassionate. We got Lil Roo (now Rocko) after the tragic loss of our other beloved chi. We were going through a hard time and Rocko completely changed our lives. We love Rocko so much, he is a bundle of love, and I can’t imagine life without him. He is so well tempered, cuddly, affectionate, and SO SMART. He is currently 6 months old and knows over 10 tricks! He is also the cutest chihuahua I’ve ever seen. He is quite popular whenever I take him out (because he’s so adorable). Highly recommend Small and Mighty if you are looking for an ethical chihuahua breeder.

    Kara is great! She was super easy to work with, answering all my questions. I would definitely recommend her over and again. Viktor has been so socialized, it's crazy actually. I take him to stores and resturants and he's chill. He has been around people and he has never experienced food insecurity. Honestly, my first week with him has been much easier than expected.     Gertie isn't our first Small and Mighty Chihuahua! We brought Franky home in 2022. He is the most perfect little puppy we could have asked for. Having such a great experience with Franky, we knew we wanted to get another puppy from Kara since her puppies are so precious. We brought Gertie home a week ago tomorrow and she and Frankie are almost inseparable. Working with Kara has always been a wonderful experience. We can always feel the love and care Kara gives each of her puppies. We have loved our relationship with Kara and will always go to Small and Mighty for puppies since they are the best!
