Why did you start breeding?
Growing up in South Africa we had Boerboels as pets. Always feeling protected by our bodyguard. When we moved into the US, our dogs came with us. With no intention of breeding we did all the necessary health testing, appraisal and registration. With the loving and protective temperament our female has we thought we want other families to experience the love we have for them.What makes your program special?
We breed for temperament and health, always looking to better the breed and not taking the breed in a different direction.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include fawn and brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Anika partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

“This price includes SABBS (South Africa Boerboel Breeders Society) registration, first round of vaccinations, deworming and microchip. All puppies are the same price doesn’t matter size, color or sex.”

About Savannah
Savannah is a female Boerboel. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Anika decided to make her part of their program. Anika has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
