I'm Connie B., the breeder behind Spothaven Dalmatians located in Camarillo, CA. Since 1992, we've purposely bred Dalmatians according to the AKC standard for temperament, structure & movement. To improve health, we participate in the Canine Health Information Center. Our dogs excel in all sports (conformation to performance). Most importantly, they are great family companions.
Q. & A. with Connie
Why did you start breeding?
Under the guidance of several mentors, we began learning about proper structure, breed type, pedigree analysis, and dog-to-dog pairing. Our breeding program strives to maintain the unique characteristics of the breed while placing an emphasis on producing Dalmatians of superior health, temperament, and conformation.
What makes your program special?
Spothaven Dalmatians is committed to breeding dogs that meet the AKC standard for breed type and quality. We only use dogs in our program that we have deemed sound in mind, health and structure. We raise our puppies in a loving environment with enrichment opportunities to build confident, happy, social puppies. We care about our puppies and support our families for the life of the puppy.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
