I'm J. h., the breeder behind Spotty Shenanigans Dalmatians located in Washington. We breed for temperament and health, and only to breed standard. All of our Dalmatians are black spotted and produce black spotted puppies. Our adults are our family pets first and foremost, and that is what we focus on with our puppies. They are raised around our other dogs, cats, and children.
Q. & A. with J.
Why did you start breeding?
I was raised with dogs my entire childhood, a handful of different litters, and Dalmatians have been imprinted on me since my childhood with a few spotties we were blessed with. Have a variety of ages with our own Dalmatians as we never find a new home for our dogs when they are retired from breeding. They are beloved family members and we cannot imagine life without any of them.
What makes your program special?
We raise our puppies within our home, right underfoot amid the chaos of our family (children and other pets) so our puppies are very well loved and socialized when they go home with you. They are taken in & out of the house many times throughout the day once they are old enough so that potty training is not an entirely new concept when they leave our care & it helps that process along immensely.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
