Meet the breeder

I'm Alexia C., the breeder behind SpotWise Dalmatians located in Palm Harbor, FL. Our focus is producing healthy quality puppies to breed standard. We health test all of our dogs and only select those with exceptional health, structure, and a great temperament breed. Our core testing includes: PennHip or OFA Hips, BAER Hearing, Eyes, Thyroid, Cardiac, HUU Testing, and genetic.

Q. & A. with Alexia

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have always worked with animals and have loved continuing my education. I became interested in canine genetics and loved learning about it. I acquired my first dalmatian with no intent to breed. When I acquired my second, her breeder and I discussed the potential of breeding her in the future, if I was interested and found a suitable pairing. I know call this woman a mentor and a friend.
  • What makes your program special?

I don't breed to produce puppies regularly. My adult dogs always come first. I go beyond recommendations for health testing. Health, structure, and temperament are my priorities. I believe in quality over quantity. If I feel a breeding is not in the best interest of my dog, it doesn't happen. I also strive to have a reason to breed, I tend to keep one back and have a few homes lined up.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include white and liver brown and white and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Alexia

Alexia has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Alexia partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

“We select puppies for each family based on their application answers. We try to make the best match possible. As puppies grow and develop their personalities, quirks, and begin health testing we will evaluate and compare to the application answers. At 6 weeks old, all puppies will have BAER Hearing, and HUU Testing completed. At 8 weeks old we will begin to discuss what puppy will come home. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $375 non-refundable deposit and between $2,125 - $2,625 final payment, before taxes & fees.
