I'm Jaclyn O., the breeder behind Spring Hill Rat Terriers located in Springtown, PA. I am dedicated to the breed and the dogs that I produce. Striving for excellent temperament and health but also conformation and structure. It is important to me that we pick the right puppy for each family based on their experience and lifestyle.
Q. & A. with Jaclyn
Why did you start breeding?
I spent many years just helping my friend and mentor with her litters. I really enjoyed the process of raising puppies and giving them the best developmental opportunities possible. I enjoy training and socialization and think its pivotal a breeder provide so many experiences to prepare a puppy for its future home. I also enjoy the connections and life long relationships built with a good family.
What makes your program special?
I like to wait until 7-8 weeks before I make the matches for potential homes. This allows me time to really get to know the puppies personality and be sure that I am placing the puppy with the right home and family. I also like to get to know the potential owners before placement. Having conversations makes the matching process a more successful one for both sides.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
