Meet the breeder

I'm Shantelle H., the breeder behind Standing Stone Boerboels located in Laramie, WY. Purposefully Bred. Thoughtfully Raised. At Standing Stone Boerboels, we are committed to preserving what makes this extraordinary breed special. Our focus is on health, temperament, structure, intelligence, and versatility. We raise our puppies with intentional socialization, handling, exposure, and evaluation to help prepare them for life as confident family companions and capable guardians.

Q. & A. with Shantelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started with Saint Bernards, dedicating the last 17 years to the breed. Then, at a dog show, I met my first Boerboel—and fell head over heels! I fell in love with their incredible guardian instincts, paired with the goofy, powerful personality of a giant Mastiff—with bear paws and a head bigger than mine! Their loyalty, intelligence, and devotion completely captured my heart. 🐾❤️
  • What makes your program special?

At Standing Stone Boerboels, you’re not just bringing home a puppy—you’re bringing home a legacy. Our program is built around dedication to health, temperament, and conformation—the qualities we believe should be set in stone. We proudly stand behind the companions we raise and are committed to supporting our families long after their puppy comes home. From our family to yours, we’re raising more than puppies—we’re building a legacy. 🐾
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include piebald, irish marked, black, brindle, tawny, reddish brown, red, fawn, brown, and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
