I'm Kendra E., the breeder behind Sunquest Great Pyrenees located in Sarasota, FL. Sunquest Great Pyrenees places a focus on the health, structure, temperament, instinct, and versatility of the breed. Dogs compete in conformation and hold AKC championships, as well as titles in performance.

Why did you start breeding?
I love this breed, and wish to preserve it in its true way
What makes your program special?
We only breed dogs that meet the standards in health, structure, temperament, and instinctual working ability. All dogs are fully health tested, with conformation championships and performance titles.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and tan, white and badger, white and gray, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Kendra

Kendra has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Kendra partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“Puppies will be fully evaluated and homes will be selected based on best match. Best match includes a full evaluation of the individual temperaments and structures of each puppy. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit that secures a spot on the general waitlist. The remaining $2,000 - $2,500 is due before pickup, plus applicable taxes and fees.

“This price includes a puppy from fully health tested and titled parents. Puppies will come with a contract, vaccinations, worming, limited AKC registration (except for approved show homes), microchipped, and with a week’s worth of food. The $500 will be to hold the puppy. The remainder $2200 is due prior to pickup/delivery. Homes will be selected for best match after individual evaluations are completed.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. The collar and leash set for the puppies have arrived! All puppies will be going home with an amazing goodie bag containing an information binder with their already completed and prepaid registration, already registered and prepaid microchip, vet records, state health certificate, official show pictures of both parents, OFA health testing printout of both parents, contract, and pages of helpful information. In addition, each goodie bag will contain a 4lb bag of Royal Canin Large Breed Puppy food, collar, leash, blanket with their littermates’ scent, and a toy.

About Lilly
Lilly is a female Great Pyrenees over 4 years old. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Kendra decided to make her part of their program. Kendra has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
