I'm Debbie J., the breeder behind Szep Vizslas located in Ballston Spa, NY. I breed on a limited basis. My goal is to breed dogs that are easy to live with but still have a desire to work. I will only breed when I have the time to do all the puppy enrichment necessary to support that goal. I am dedicated to supporting every puppy I breed and their family for the life of that puppy.

Why did you start breeding?
I met a Vizsla breeder at the vet hospital I worked at and when he could no longer breed due to advanced age and health problems. I co-owned a female from his last litter with him. It has been an absolute joy of a journey, and I am so happy to be able to share these wonderful dogs with other loving families and individuals.What makes your program special?
I try to breed for what I understand the moderate Vizsla should look like and not be swayed by current trends and popular sires. I strive to breed healthy, quality pups that can fit any lifestyle. I take pride in raising well-tempered and socialized puppies who can excel in work, show, or as beloved companions. I love what I do and truly want the very best for my puppies and their forever families.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
