Q. & A. with Amber
Why did you start breeding?
Everyone who met Sage fell in love with her. After the passing of our two older family dogs, we knew we wanted to add another dog to our home—but more than that, we wanted to continue what we had started with Sage. She was excelling in her training, quickly stacking up titles, and showing so much natural ability that we knew we wanted to preserve and build on those qualities.
We began planning for a future litter, aiming to pair her with a stud that also carried the Shooting Starr bloodline—well-known for producing dogs with strong natural instincts and versatility. As Sage’s OFA health testing results continued to come back with passing scores and we received positive feedback from conformation judges, we felt confident moving forward. We reached out to a stud owner we had been in contact with, one who shared our standards and commitment to thoughtful, purposeful breeding.
What makes your program special?
This is a purpose-driven breeding program focused on producing well-rounded, versatile German Shorthaired Pointers. Parents are fully health tested, with Sage holding her CHIC number through OFA. They have proven themselves in the field with hunting titles from both AKC and NAVHDA, and they’ve also earned dock diving titles—demonstrating drive, athleticism, and a strong desire to work.
Our pairing brings together not only exceptional pedigrees but a proven balance of health, performance, and temperament.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include liver roan, liver and white, and liver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

🐾 Meet Moose (Finn) – “T2H Where The Wild Things Roam” 🐾
This gentle giant is still looking for his forever hunting home! ❤️ Moose is the biggest of his litter and has the sweetest personality. He loves cuddles and giving hugs, but don’t let his soft side fool you—he’s also got a strong bird drive and a love for the outdoors.
✨ What Moose knows so far:
✔️ Sit
✔️ Working on “down”
✔️ Learning leash walking
He’s also pre-registered to take a local STAR Puppy class. If he’s still with us, we’ll take him through it, but his new family is welcome to jump in and continue his training journey. If his new family is not local we can remove him from the list.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion with both brains and heart, Moose could be your perfect match. 🏡🐶
