I'm Natalie Z., the breeder behind Tesoro Riccio Lagotto Romagnolo located in Lubbock, TX. Today, my mission is to maintain the highest standard of health, structure, and character. Every puppy is born and raised in my home, surrounded by love, and socialized using scientific early neurological stimulation protocols.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I started eight years ago in deciding what kind of breed I would like to get and took me a lot of research and talking with breeders, after I found the Lagotto Romagnolo I just fall in love with this breed. After I got Eliana we’re being traveling, in Conformation Seminar, Regular Training, Scent Work. Is a delightful to have a family pet ready to go with you all.

  • What makes your program special?

    We are deeply dedicated to excellence, which is why we complete comprehensive health testing on our dogs. When selecting a stud to complement our dams, we accept nothing less than clear health records and an exceptional, stable temperament. Our ultimate pride is raising healthy, happy puppies and sharing this extraordinary breed with dedicated families looking for a truly special companion.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include white, brown roan, orange, brown, and off-white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Natalie

Natalie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Natalie partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

Puppy prices include a $1,000 non-refundable deposit and $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“AKC Pre-Registration, Veterinary check out at seven months, the first round of the vaccination and deworming. Early Scent Work and Early Neurological Stimulation (Avidog) Puppy Socializing using the Puppy Culture program, From Newborn to New Home Course, in this one we focus on behavioral development, husbandry and prepared the puppy for their new home and Weaning For Life, is focused to weaning period to build a puppy's lifelong health, gut biome, and emotional stability. Deposit is 50% refundable if you change your mind. Please be aware that I will miss the opportunity for selling a dog if you are not committed to acquire a puppy. If I can’t provide the puppy that you would like it, your deposit will be able to use for the next litter and the puppies are same price or we will refund your deposit.”

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Lagotto Storage Disease (LSD), Benign Familial Juvenile Epilepsy (BFJE)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
