Meet the breeder

I'm Amanda W., the breeder behind The Fifth Element Kennel located in Pocatello, ID. We want to provide top-quality beloved companions. My breeding goals are long term, health, temperament and longevity, and I am just getting started. So puppy owners eager and willing to stay in contact and update us on their pup through their lives are a priority and will be a huge help in refining my breeding program.

Q. & A. with Amanda

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have been breeding various other species of animals for years. I have had Chihuahua(s) for 20 years but recently became interested in breeding them. Unfortunately they are really starting to lose what defines them as Chihuahuas in this area and I wish to preserve the breed locally.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, chocolate, cream, black sabled fawn, chocolate blue, red and white, blue merle, black and white, fawn and white, chocolate and tan, blue and tan, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Amanda was absolutely wonderful throughout the entire process. We stayed in touch for several months while waiting for the right puppies, and her communication was exceptional. She consistently kept me informed and up to date on both current and upcoming litters.

Great experience! Good communication! Ash (Draco) is such a joy to be around. His little personality is coming out and he likes to boss around his big sisters.
