Our intentionally small breeding program allows us to give every puppy individualized care, early socialization, and the best possible start in life. We carefully select our breeding dogs for their health, exceptional temperaments, intelligence, and proven versatility, producing Griffons and Labs that are equally at home on the couch, on the trail, or in the field. Why did you start breeding?
Tombstone Kennels is our family passion. Dustin and I love the outdoors, bird hunting, and raising versatile dogs that are as devoted at home as they are in the field. Our Wirehaired Pointing Griffons and Labrador Retrievers live as part of our family, guiding every breeding decision. We are committed to producing healthy, intelligent, well-rounded companions for active families and hunters alike.What makes your program special?
Our passion for bird dogs spans generations. I grew up helping my father breed English Pointers and Labrador Retrievers for his South Texas quail hunting operation. Today, Dustin and I raise Wirehaired Pointing Griffons in our home, focusing on health, temperament, versatility, and lifelong support for every puppy family.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Samantha has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Samantha partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Purpose-bred for health, temperament, versatility, and family companionship. reserves your puppy from the current litter. Deposits are applied toward the purchase price, with the remaining balance due at pickup. Puppies are matched in the order deposits are received.”

Parent health testing
Excellent level

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
