Meet the breeder

I'm Monique M., the breeder behind Treasured Chihuahuas located in High Point, NC. Our breeding program is focused on health, temperament, and beautiful coat colors. Q. & A. with Monique

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started with training and breeding Mastiffs. In 2009 I purchased our first Chihuahua Mimi as a small companion for my young daughters. She was the most loving dog I could have hoped for. Since then, I have been an advocate for the breed and showing others just what loving and loyal dogs they can be. It’s so fulfilling to help other families experience the joy of owning this beautiful breed.
  • What makes your program special?

We are focused on health and temperament as well as exceptional coat colors. The parents we have chosen are loving family pets who are health tested, beautiful, and intelligent. Our puppies are raised with children and started on socialization and training that will help them to easily transition to their forever homes. We guarantee the health of our puppies and also provide lifelong support.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include merle, blue merle, chocolate and tan, fawn and white, and blue and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

We really appreciate Monique, her family and all the care and knowledge that went into raising these puppies, caring for mama and giving them a wonderful start to life and experience. Monique was very responsive and helpful throughout the process. We are so happy with Dolly and having a great transition with her into our family. Dolly is very well behaved, playful and smart. We are thankful for all the technical and medical needs taken care of as well as her mental and emotional development addressed. I greatly appreciate Monique with Most Treasured Chihuahuas and would highly recommend her.
