Meet the breeder

I'm Carla G., the breeder behind Triforce Basenjis located in San Diego, CA. We are passionate about preserving the Basenji. We raise well-rounded puppies from fully OFA health-tested parents who are proven in AKC, UKC, and IABCA shows/events. Our pups are raised with Puppy Culture and are placed as cherished companions with AKC Limited Registration. Our dogs are family!

Q. & A. with Carla

  • Why did you start breeding?

My family has been showing and breeding champion Dogo Argentinos since 2001 when I was only 2. I showed regular conformation with Dogos starting at age 5 and UKC Juniors at age 8. I also showed in AKC Junior Showmanship from early 2013 at age 13 till I aged out with my Cane Corso Amore. I fell in love with the Basenji early in my college years and decided to become involved in their preservation.
  • What makes your program special?

I believe in temperament, health, and breed type. I strongly believe in complete OFA health testing and the CHIC program. I show my Basenjis with AKC, UKC, and IABCA. Puppies must be picked up in person by their new families or in some cases by flight nanny. Puppies will have their first vaccination, deworming, and vet examination. We are ethical preservation breeders looking to improve the breed.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
