I'm Elizabeth B., the breeder behind Underhill GSP located in Mokelumne Hill, CA. We’ve been breeding since the days of 4-H and in recent years we’ve focused a bit more in our program. We pay close attention to the temperament and conformation of the dogs we breed. Puppies must be of good nature, hold the standard of form and show interest in the creatures of the field.
Q. & A. with Elizabeth
Why did you start breeding?
Started with the love of the breed. Adding and showcasing the beauty of the breed and sharing that joy with other families.
What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is special because we love to share the experience with our puppy families. We include them in seeing how and where the puppies are raised before we send them off to their new families. We try to expose our pups to as much as we safely can so the puppies can transition into their new homes with confidence.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include liver roan, black roan, liver and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Parent dogs
Georgia, mom
German Shorthaired Pointer
About Georgia
Georgia is a go-getter with a zeal for adventure and hunting! She has a huge capacity for endurance but will also gladly sleep on a leather couch all day! Her pedigree if packed full of healthy titled hunters and titled show dogs.
OFA -Elbows: Normal Hips : Good
Copper is fetching and smart dog! He holds true to many of the foundational personality pillars of the GSP. He’s absolutely wonderful with children and loves to run and hunt hard but knows his place in the house order.
Indy, mom
German Shorthaired Pointer
About Indy
Indy is an absolute sweetheart! She’s loves to run, swim and hunt! Has wonderful endurance and great muscle tone. But once she’s done outside she loves to cuddle and be held like a lap dogs. Very much “On” outside and very much “Off” the moment those paws hit the couch. Wonderful with children, other dogs and loves to be a part of the family!

Elizabeth was amazing to work with. Very responsive and knowledgeable. Sent me updates on puppy weekly as well as posts on the puppies daily.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
