I'm Dodi H., the breeder behind Walking Hart Schipperkes located in Grants Pass, OR. Our dogs are family, and our puppies are raised in our home with lots of love and attention. We focus on health, temperament, and early socialization. Our goal is to raise happy, confident Schipperkes and place each puppy with a loving family where they will be treasured for life.

Why did you start breeding?
It started when I bought my first male Schipperke and fell in love with the breed. Later, a friend who was a breeder helped me find my first female, and that was the beginning. What started with two little dogs grew into a lifelong love of Schipperkes and a passion for raising healthy, happy puppies for other families to love.
What makes your program special?
With over 30 years of experience with Schipperkes and a strong background in training and dog sports, I look at more than just appearance when planning a litter. I value sound temperament, intelligence, health, and the qualities that make a great companion. My puppies are raised hands-on in my home, giving me the opportunity to really get to know each one.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Dodi

Dodi has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Dodi partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Approved families may select from available puppies. I’m happy to help guide the decision based on each puppy’s personality, temperament, and the family’s lifestyle and preferences. My goal is to make sure both the puppy and family are a good fit for one another.”

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $1,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes AKC & UKC registration, age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, health records, puppy information, and ongoing breeder support. Microchipping is left to the new owner's discretion. A $500 non-refundable deposit reserves your specific puppy and is applied toward the total purchase price. Once reserved, that puppy will no longer be offered to other families.”

Contract & health guarantee

Dodi may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Vet Wellness Exam
