Meet the breeder

I'm Mandy M., the breeder behind Walnut Ridge Mountain Curs located in Georgetown, OH. When you adopt a Walnut Ridge puppy, you are getting more than just a hunting dog, you are also getting a well started, loyal, best friend. My "puppy preschool" program prepared the pups for their new homes, owners, and jobs. A great dog begins with a great breeding and training program!

Q. & A. with Mandy

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have a goal to preserve the working abilities and versatility of the breed. I love watching my pups grow and mature into amazing dogs with their new families!
  • What makes your program special?

I am dedicated to keeping ALL the original traits of the Mountain Cur, not just hunting. The main purpose of the breed is to be a versatile working dog, helping its owner with almost any task at hand. They played a large role in the settlement of America, a true All-American breed.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, blue, brindle, brown, red, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
