I'm Stephanie S., the breeder behind Water Dogs By SS located in Andover, KS. When breeding Portuguese Water Dogs, my focus is on structure, stability, personality, and performance. I use Puppy Culture and AviDog to produce thinking, well socialized puppies with a great set of skills for exploring the world.
Q. & A. with Stephanie
Why did you start breeding?
After an unplanned retirement, I discovered the joy of purebred dogs and the many ways we could be involved and spend time together. This led to breeding and after raising my first litter, I was hooked. I don't breed often, but I truly enjoy raising puppies who can go out into the world with confidence and skills to think their way through new situations.
What makes your program special?
My world and lifestyle revolve around my dogs and so litters, when they happen, are truly given every advantage and experience possible. I enjoy creating "thinking monsters" that want to work with their family and explore the world.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
