Our pedigrees show extensive titles in field trials, hunt tests, conformation titles & obedience titles. We are dedicated to providing our families a well rounded addition to their family for competition or just a velcro dog.

Why did you start breeding?
My husband and I have been competing and breeding since 1994. My husband was raised with bird dogs owning several over the years. He introduced me to Vizslas and there is no going back. To find a breed that loves to compete in conformation, and then be able to hunt birds being "all in" finishing with a cuddle and loving you like you're the only person on earth is truly remarkable.What makes your program special?
At Waymaker, we strive to produce the best litter possible. We're always moving forward, never back. We evaluate a female that has passed all qualifications to produce a litter and then set out to find the perfect male. We pride ourselves on covering all the bases for a healthy, well rounded litter from parents with conformation, hunting and obedience titles.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are golden rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

“The price includes AKC registration, contract with guarantee, microchip and socialization. We require a $500 deposit to hold a puppy until they are 8 weeks.”

Beautiful, driven, and full of personality — this lovely Vizsla is the dam of our current litter. She proudly earned her AKC Junior Hunter (JH) title, proving her natural hunting instincts and focus in the field. At home, she’s all heart — devoted to her family and happiest when she’s outdoors, whether exploring the woods or relaxing by the fire after a long day’s adventure. Her wonderful temperament and athletic ability make her a perfect example of the Vizsla breed.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (SHOR)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
