I'm Michelle C., the breeder behind Western Kentucky Chihuahua’s and Chinese Crested’s located in Henderson, KY. I am a licensed breeder of top-quality purebred Chihuahuas and Chinese Cresteds. I genetically test my breeding dogs for genetic health to ensure I only produce healthy physically mentally sound puppies. We go the extra mile for our puppies & adopting families.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I’ve always owned chihuahuas and after spending time with a friend who is an AKC Judge discussing breeding she piqued my interest. After much contemplation and research, I decided to begin my search for just the right pair. The rest is this joyous journey I’m on today. After becoming acquainted with the Chinese Crested breed I adopted my first one and fell head over heels.

  • What makes your program special?

    I am a licensed breeder. Breeding pairs are genetically tested for optimum genetic health I breed for physically and mentally sound puppies. Our puppies don’t go a day without special one-on-one interaction. Puppies' health is guaranteed. I remain a lifetime resource for both the puppy and the puppy's new family.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our Chinese Crested puppies include powderpuff and hairless coat varieties. Chihuahua puppies include smooth and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Chinese Crested puppies include white and black, silver, apricot, black white and tan, white, sable, cream, black and white, and black. Chihuahua puppies include black, cream, fawn, black sabled silver, blue, silver, white, blue merle, black and white, fawn and white, cream and white, and black and silver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Puppy prices include a $150 non-refundable deposit and between $650 - $1,550 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

    Awe Michelle was great, knowledgeable about the breed and her babies are absolutely beautiful. We went to her home to visit with the puppy we picked out and you could tell by her breeding dogs how much love she puts into what she does. One of her dogs sat on my husbands lap most of our visit as happy as he could be. We spoke several times on the phone and through text as well. She also sent updates on our little girl sending sweet pictures. We was in love before she ever came home. Since then she has done so great and we couldn’t be happier with her. I highly recommend her!

    Michelle is an excellent breeder and a wonderful person. My granddaughter had lived with me for 2 years and had a chihuahua and when they moved I was so sad. I looked on Good Dog and found her on the website because she was close to me and had Chihuahuas. I contacted her and she had one little sweet girl and if another person didn’t call back for her, she could be mine. Well i prayed this would happen and it did! It was a God thing. On May 24 2025 I went to Kentucky to Western Kentucky Chihuahua’s and Chinese Crested’s and picked up my sweet baby!     9 months ago I was day dreaming about being adopted by a puppy. I was looking for someone who would fit my life. Suddenly I came across the picture of a face who would etch a memory in my heart. After I discussed her with my husband I decided to contact Michelle about a little powder puff named Delilah. After making plans we made the 300 mile trek to pick up our new friend. We named her Tallulah Reign. Michelle was wonderful in her communications with me before and after we brought Reign home. She made suggestions from food to shampoo. We were able to meet some of the other dogs and see the beautiful place in the woods where Reign was born. Michelle prepared Reign for the long trip home and gave her a great start at socialization. Reign even came home with a traditional pony cut. Once home Reign's personality really started to show. She is funny and brave and smart and determined. Reign and I have worked together to train her, and she loves to learn new things. She likes to meet people and visit friends. And she is a prankster. I could not be happier since Reign rescued me. She is the biggest little dog I know. Thank you Michelle for bringing this amazing puppy into my life.
