I'm Samantha M., the breeder behind Whit's End Kennel located in Clearwater, FL. I am a preservation breeder of both AST & AFH. I purposefully and only occasionally have litters. My goal is to produce great ambassadors of both breeds in temperament, structure, and ability. All of my dogs are raised and kept inside my home as a part of the family.
Q. & A. with Samantha
Why did you start breeding?
I got a late start in my early 30s with AST. I started off just looking for a hobby to get more active and fell down the rabbit hole of the sport of purebred dogs. In college I got my first AST. Growing up in the horse country of New Jersey, close to the USET, I got to participate in seasonal fox hunts on the weekends. I loved AFHs back then & fell back in love with them later in life.
What makes your program special?
The time, thought, and care that goes into every litter is staggering. It starts with the care of my own dogs; the love, the training, the titles, the health testing etc gets poured right into their children. Because I do not breed a lot, every owner becomes a part of my family. I check in often with my homes and am always a source of reference and support for the life of your dog.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
