Meet the breeder

I'm Natalie G., the breeder behind Wild Goods Lagotti located in Hendersonville, NC. We raise the healthiest puppies possible. Our holistic approach begins with a nurturing environment in which the pups receive personal attention multiple times daily. We imprint early the importance of human and dog companionship so puppies are able to fulfill versatile roles in their new homes.

Q. & A. with Natalie

  • Why did you start breeding?

We purchased Eva from the King of the Truffles Kennel in Serbia. After our first truffle season we decided she needed a helper, Massi from Il Granaio dei Malatesta, from Italy. They complement each other extremely well and are skilled, balanced dogs so we decided to breed them.
  • What makes your program special?

We selected these dogs from working lines to better assist us on our hunt for truffles. Our full-time job is truffle hunting and mushroom foraging, so we can be home with our dogs and spend many hours a day raising these puppies giving them all the love and attention they need, exposing them to truffle odor from birth, and learning each one's personality to match them with the best home.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include off-white, orange, white, brown, orange roan, and brown roan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
