Meet the breeder

I'm Erin B., the breeder behind Wild Rose German Shorthaired Pointers located in Walford, IA. I offer quality German Shorthaired Pointer puppies from champion parents. In my program, I value health, temperament, and breed standards. I believe in intentional breeding in order to preserve the GSP and produce quality puppies that are both conformationally correct and can perform in the field. I take great care with each litter and strive to produce the next German Shorthaired Pointer champion!

Q. & A. with Erin

  • Why did you start breeding?

I believe that purposeful and careful breeding is so important for the healthy progression of the German Shorthaired Pointer. I am enthusiastic about producing quality GSP puppies to find my next valued show prospect and hunting partner. My family and I also love sharing our love for the breed with others. I have been fortunate to work with some lovely mentors who have guided me along the way!
  • What makes your program special?

I am a premier breeder of German Shorthaired Pointer puppies. Each puppy comes from fully health-tested parents with champion titles that are excellent representations of the breed standards. I am very conscious about homing my puppies and strive to ensure that each and every one goes to a home complimentary to its personality and ability. While many of my dogs have the potential to excel in the show venue and hunt fields, all of them make excellent lifelong friends!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include white and liver, liver roan, liver and white, and liver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
