Breeder of Silken Windhounds

Meet the breeder

I'm Tammy M., the breeder behind WildRose Silken Windhounds located in Silverton, OR. We start with amazing temperaments to provide the best possible pets. We aim to improve conformation with every breeding, and also have dogs that excel in performance events—everything from obedience, to racing, lure coursing, and agility.

Q. & A. with Tammy

  • Why did you start breeding?

I understand the very important role that breeders undertake; that today’s breeders are the guardians of the future Silken Windhounds. I am devoted to ensuring there are happy and healthy Silken Windhounds for others to enjoy, and do so by responsibly growing this incredible breed.
  • What makes your program special?

I am a small breeder, but study and use updated practices learned through Avi-Dog and my mentors. I do my best to match puppies with homes based on their personalities and prospects so both dogs and people have the happiest lives possible. All dogs and puppies are part of our family, live in the house, and get the best possible quality of life. We expect new puppy owners to have a lifelong bond.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
