I'm Shelley C., the breeder behind Windbourne Farm Black & Tan Coonhounds located in Molalla, OR. My goal when breeding is to produce mentally and physically healthy dogs that are as close to the breed standard as possible. As a breeder, I feel a sense of responsibility to prioritize the overall health and temperament of each of my puppies, and to ensure that they are loved and well cared for prior to joining their forever homes.

Why did you start breeding?
I regularly participate in conformation shows and started breeding to continue and improve on my line. My goal is to not only produce beautiful puppies, but to help promote responsible breeding in order to ensure that the Black and Tan Coonhound breed will continue to thrive for generations to come. These dogs have proven to be wonderful companions in my life, and it is a privilege to share that love and friendship with others.
What makes your program special?
I truly love the this breed and am dedicated to looking out for the breed as a whole. I know the health and status of every dog I have bred and am proud of the temperament and conformation of my puppies. I can provide extensive knowledge and guidance for any family looking to adopt one of these wonderful dogs. I have a Facebook group dedicated to my puppy buyers so that you can receive support and stay in contact for the life of your dog.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Puppy prices include a $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Hip Dysplasia

Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
