German Shorthaired Pointer
About Sky
Sky is our sweet, cuddly German Shorthaired Pointer dam here at Wood Farmstead. She is loving in the house, gentle with our young children, and an attentive mother to her pups. She has the kind of temperament we value most — affectionate, loyal, eager to please, and steady around the family. In the field, Sky is all drive and instinct. During the off-season, she keeps herself sharp hunting lizards, mice, and anything else that moves around the farm. When bird season comes around, she is ready for quail, partridge, pheasant, chukar, and grouse. She listens so well that you can forget to turn on her e-collar and not even realize it until the hunt is over and you already have your limit. Sky represents exactly what we aim to raise at Wood Farmstead: German Shorthaired Pointers that are serious hunting dogs, devoted family companions, and confident, intelligent partners. Her puppies are raised with the same hands-on care, early socialization, and respect for the breed that we share at Wood Farmstead

German Shorthaired Pointer
About Moose
Moose is a sweet, loyal German Shorthaired Pointer with a strong hunting drive and an incredible heart. He is a trusted hunting partner, a playmate for our kids, a protective family dog, and a gentle sire who helps watch over his pups. Moose and Sky have produced two successful litters of eight puppies each — 16 healthy, gorgeous liver-and-white puppies. Due to his age, this will be Moose’s final time as a sire. I have had the privilege of hunting with Moose across the United States for quail, chukar, partridge, grouse, and pheasant. His sharp instincts, field drive, loyalty, and courage are what led us to continue his line. He is the kind of dog that reminds you why German Shorthaired Pointers are so special.
